Driving The Economy Through Career Exhibition • Our aims and objectives are • To coordinate career exhibitions nationally and internationally • To create a platform for member institutions to disseminate relevant and accurate information for learners and out of school youth to make informed career choices. • Promote cooperation amongst member Institutions • Issue communication in relation to the association activities
Driving The Economy Through Career Exhibition • What is CEIA? • The Careers Exhibitions & Information Association (CEIA) plays an important and strategic role in enhancing coordinated efforts amongst higher education institutions with regard to student recruitment. The Association currently has membership from South African Universities, Technical Vocational Education & Training Colleges, Private Colleges, Departments of Education nationally as well as in SADC Countries such as Swaziland and Lesotho. • The Association is a non-profit organization constituted by Public Relations Officers, Recruitment Officers & Recruitment Managers, Information Officers and Marketing Managers from institutions that are tasked with supporting Career Guidance and information dissemination at schools. The core business of the Association is to provide comprehensive career information through interactive communication. • The Association is managed by a volunteering team of individuals from our member institutions elected by the AGM and serving for two years. Our member institutions contribute a very minimal amount to ensure that the association meets its obligations. An Advisory Board constituting of individuals with unique skills supports the Executive and provide advice when necessary.
Driving The Economy Through Career Exhibition • Currently the Association comprises of 15 Universities, 5 University of Technology, 8 TVET Colleges, 13 Private Colleges, 7 Government Departments and Municipalities as well as 7 commercial businesses. Some additional number of these institutions have not yet affiliated but they participate in our exhibitions as well as the Annual Congress. • Our 25 years have proved beneficial to the multitudes of learners across the country and in neighbouring states like Lesotho and Swaziland. Our plan is to grow into Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and other African countries where interest is identified. • We enjoy the unwavering support of the Departments of Basic Education and of Higher Education in our regions and member countries.
