2009 version of SiPM control board fabricated and assembled in Jan 2010 It was tested at FNAL by Sergey…. worked flawlessly. Order for production version has been placed with same company in June-2010 Pilot production PCB fabrication is in process Pilot production boards will be tested at FNAL/CERN after which bulk order for fabrication for all 3 rings can be given. Quality Control of SiPM Board • QC testing of SiPM boards at CRL, Ooty • Standalone DAQ • External amplifiers (developed by Princeton) will be used for SiPM readout (no QIE Electronics) • 3 preamp boards required for testing were fabricated by Princeton (Chris etal.) in April-2010. Data taking setup • The I2C cable shielded with Aluminum foil and the I2C box • kept away from the control card • Amplifiers mounted on Perspex and bias connected for all 3 cards 12
Summary • Pilot production version of Control board will be ready within a month after receiving all files (Gerbers & assembly) from FNAL • Production and QC of all control boards and SiPM mounting board to be carried out at CRL, Ooty • Good progress on the quality control setup at CRL, Ooty • Data taking at CRL, Ooty able to resolve single p.e. after modifying mounting arrangement for amplifiers Shashi Dugad, ECR Meeting, 28 July 2010 13
