CONCEPT • This shall be called The NELSON MANDELA BAY LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL ACADEMY. • Total & scientific development of football players in SA • Intake of Kids (boys n girls)from u -7 to u-12 as kids based at homes, attending schools from home, after school academy sessions. • Intake of Boys u15 and u-17 for the Academy, to be provided with accommodation, transport to and from school, recreational facilities, medical, life skills and physiological needs. • Media, Psychological and Financial management development. • Coaches identified and supplied by and through Liverpool FC • Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University to absorb post matric students into sports related diplomas and degree programs • First or second division football club secured for development high intensity participation and competitive purpose.

SA Historical background • It all began in the 19th century when British came to the shores of our country • 1st documented match in 1862 in Nelson Mandela Bay Metro Municipality (PE) • 26 September 1961 FIFA Announcement • Even so the game continued in townships • Diski influenced style • Soccer captured our hearts (Lives have been lost) • September 1992 1st junior international game

Soccer development • Formation of popular teams like : • Orlando Pirates (1937) • Moroka Swallows (1947) • Kaizer Chiefs (1970) • It changed lives in burgeoning squatter camps • Football humanised the lives of SA & brought joy to people with little to cheer about • Football became a political platform for oppressed Blacks for delivery of key messages.
