  1. Scantron part 2 Printing bubble sheets Scanning bubble sheets (use the computer in Media Center) (bring paper )

  2. Click the Scan Station icon Site ID: 38-5312-1174Staff ID: scanoperator (or) scanoperator2Password: operator1 operator2 (depends which computer you’re using)

  3. Click on District Tests tab

  4. Click on the test you want answer sheets for.

  5. Click the Form button

  6. Click the Custom Plain paper tab

  7. Select a class by clicking on it. If someone else’s kids show up here, you’re in the wrong class

  8. Check Select All Students or specific students

  9. Important: make sure all 3 of these boxes are checked

  10. If you see this box, just say No

  11. Hit File and then PrintDo not hit the printer icon

  12. Also important: when this screen pops up, be sure to set Page Scaling to NoneAuto-Rotate and Center box must not be checked!Hit OK to print

  13. Close Adobe, click on the Generic Plain Paper tab.You might print a few generic tests for students who will mangle the original answer sheet you give them. Print using the same procedure as before

  14. After sheets print, close Adobe and hit the exit button

  15. Scanning answer sheets Log on like you did before Select District Tests Select desired test Click the Scan Button

  16. Check these two boxes:

  17. Put sheets in scanner, head-first, face upclick Start Scan

  18. After scanning you’ll see this:

  19. A Green Check Mark means the form has been scanned successfully.Two Red Dots means the first error on the form is a multiple mark.An Open Red Circle means the first error on the form is an omitted mark.A Red Xmeans the form has a major error. (Wrong test ID, wrong student ID)Click the “red symbol” by the first form on the list and address errors as follows: If the “red symbol” isTwo Red Dots or an Open Red Circle, examine all the student’s answers. Make necessary changes and clickAcceptorUpdate.Tip: click inside an answer box and then click the Magnifying Glassicon to see an image of the student’s actual marks.Note: After a form has been Accepted or Updated, a yellow check mark will display.

  20. Helpful hints • If a form is marked with a Red X and clicking the X indicates that the Test ID cannot be recognized, just click Manual Input. Then select a Test ID (top of screen), enter the Student’s ID, and select the same answers the student marked on the form. • Be sure to check Skipif the answer was omitted. • If a form is marked with a Red X and clicking the X indicates that the Student IDCannot be Found at the school, click the Binoculars icon to find the student. • If the ID was pre-marked on the form, you will see it onscreen. Enter the number in the ID box, click Search, and select the student matching that ID. • If the ID was not pre-marked, enter the student’s name in the Name box and search for that student. • IMPORTANT: After the correct student has been selected you must click the Update button on Scan Station. You can then take care of any marking errors on the student’s form.
