MCC coach training requires 75 hours of continuing coach education (CCE) hours beyond the PCC credential, and provides the most powerful way to achieve an MCC credential. Mentor coaching through synchronous and asynchronous hours The 75-hour MCC coach training program strengthens a coach's ability to cultivate deep empathy and presence. It enables coaches to connect authentically with clients, and create a safe, non-judgmental space for exploration. The mentor coaching program is divided into 39 Synchronous Hours, and 36 Asynchronous Hours. Both synchronous and asynchronous hours of mentor coaching are delivered in English in 90-minute sessions. Synchronous hours of MCC coach training include the required 7 hours of mentor coaching, and three hours of one-to-one coaching between the mentor coach and the mentee. It also includes four 2-hour Practice Clinics, and includes a combination of instructions, facilitated discussions, and coaching practice. 36 Asynchronous Hours of MCC coach training include a combination of coaching, being coached, journaling, and independent reading. Students create a community outside of live sessions, and share their findings via online classroom discussion forums. They are paired with a buddy with whom they can find support, practice, and discuss outside of class. The 75-hour mentor coaching program is delivered over 22 weeks, that will cover ICF fundamental competencies, deep dive into competencies, and optional makeup classes.
