The Volkswagen Vento Connect Edition Now Comes with ₹ Rs 1.05 L Discount With newly added safety features and new connected car technologies the Volkswagen’s Vento lineup has begun the price war. The Volkswagen authorized dealers are offering hefty discounts to purchasers which range up to Rs 60,000 in cash discount and exchange bonus touching up to Rs 40,000. It even has an array of new safety features targeted to meet the new safety standards which will soon go live in India. The new safety add-ons on the Vento Highline Plus include 2 airbags on the side in addition to two front airbags whilst the other safety new features comprise new 16” alloy wheels textured in Portago Grey. Coming to Highline models they come with new 15” alloy wheels. The rest of the refurbishments consist dual tome interiors, body colored rear spoiler, USB charging port, and a flashy glove box. The German maker has also brought in Volkswagen Connect—a telematics system for Ameo, Vento, and Polo. This Connect software is aimed at giving a new dimension of driving by assisting the customer in many aspects. Volkswagen Service Center Suchitra opined that the best part of the Connect is customers can book service using the software. Volkswagen Vento is available in diesel & petrol versions. The 1.6-liter petrol engine gives a maximum power of 105 PS & 153 Nm peak torque coupled to a 5-speed transmission. The 1.2 liter TFSI, direct injection, turbocharged petrol engine delivers 105 PS power & 175 Nm torque coupled to a 7 speed DSG. The single 1.5-liter diesel engine gives out 110 PS power and 250 Nm torque coupled to 5-speed manual gearbox consisting of 7 speed DSG. The modified Volkswagen Vento price is between Rs 8.38-14.02 lakhs. With the discounts and other add-ons, Volkswagen is targeting Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris, and Honda City.
