  2. Monday, March 4, 2019 Objectives: 1. Analyze how author’s setting description affect’s the author’s tone and reader’s mood 2. Understand health project requirements Agenda- • SSR (Lord of the Flies) • Setting Analysis • Blanco

  3. Use a blank piece of printer paper! (if absent) Step 1: Write your name in the bottom right corner. Draw a small bubble, circle, or any type of shape in the middle of your poster.

  4. Step 2: find two one quote from Lord of the flies that shows the setting (quote must be 2-3 sentences)

  5. Teacher example:“The reef enclosed more than one side of the island, lying perhaps a mile out and parallel to what they now thought of as their beach. The coral was scribbled in the sea as though a giant had bent down to reproduce the shape of the island in a flowing chalk line but tired before he had finished. Inside was peacock water, rocks, and weeds showing as in an aquarium, outside was the dark blue of the sea” (Golding 29).

  6. Step 3: Below each quote, summarize or paraphrase in your own words what is being said (1-2 sentences)
