  1. Jyoti and Neha’s Quiz Competition ( Short story)

  2. JyotiAgarwal and NehaAgarwal are two sisters living in Burrabazar area in Kolkata. Jyoti is slim, fair complexioned 18 year old girl studying at Cossipore English School. On the other hand, Neha is chubby , medium complexioned 20 year old girl studying at South Point High School. It is a Sunday evening and they are preparing for the upcoming National Quiz Contest. The contest will be held in 15th October 2020.

  3. Jyoti asked, “ Can you tell me the name of first prime minister of India?” Neha replied, “ Mrs. Indira Gandhi. Can you tell the name of first chief minister of a state?” Jyoti replied, “SuchetaKripalini from Uttar Pradesh. Who was the first cabinet minister of India?” Neha said, “She was VijayalakshmiPandit. Who was the first central minister of India?”

  4. Jyoti said, “She was RajkumariAmritKaur. Do you know the name of first loksabha speaker?” Neha said, “Her name is Shanno Devi. What is Annie Besant known for?” Jyoti replied, “She was known for being the first president of Indian National Congress. Who was ther first president of UN general assembly?”

  5. Neha said, “ Her name is VijayalakshmiPandit. Do you know the first woman who occupied Delhi’s throne?” Jyoti said, “She was Razia Sultan. Do you know the name of person who crossed the English channel?” Neha replied ,”ArtiSaha. Are you aware about the achievement of Bachendri Pal?” Jyoti said, “She was the first woman to climb mount Everest. Are you aware of an Indian who could circumnavigate?”

  6. Neha said, “She was UjwalaRai. Who was the first IAS officer?” Jyoti said, “ Anna George Malhotra. Ok. Now lets have a tea break. Then we will start this quiz again!” Neha replied, “ Okay!” Both of them took tea and snacks. They played ludo for some time and again started their quiz.

  7. Neha asked, “Who was the first judge of high court?” Jyoti replied, “She was Anna Chandi. Do you do the first judge of Supreme court?” Neha said, “She was M. FathimaBeevi. Who was the first justice of high court?” Jyoti said, “She was Leila Seth. Who became the first doctor?”

  8. Neha replied, “She was KadambiniGanguly. Who was the first to pass MA?” Jyoti said, “ She was Chandra Mukhi Bose. Do you know who became chief engineer for the first time?” Neha said, “She was P.K. Thresia. Who got the first sena medal?” Jyoti said, “Bimla Devi of CRPF was the first woman to get the sena medal. Do you know the person who climbed Everest at young age?”

  9. Neha replied, “It was DickyDolma who climbed the Everest at 19 years age. Are you aware of the name of first magistrate?” Jyoti said, “OmanaKunjamma. Who was crowned Miss World for the first time?” Neha said, “She was ReitaFaria. Who was crowned miss universe for the first time?”

  10. Jyoti replied, “She was Sushmita Sen. Who became the first woman astronaut from India?” Neha said, “She was KalpanaChawla.” Jyoti said, “ Okay. Lets study again. We will start another practice session of quiz tomorrow.” Neha replied, “Okay!”
