Leo, who he wanted to be, • Leo starts out in the book as a day dream, a hero of some sorts saying an old woman from a heart attack. When his sister called out to him, • HEY SARDINE! Wake up!
Leo… who he really was. Leo was another boy who was trying to find himself though his friends and though his actions. With a very large family, he once cried out saying he felt like a sardine stuck in a tin. He Never seemed to get any attention to himself. His Brothers and other sister were always getting his father’s and mother’s attention no matter what happened. (Leo)
Papa… Leo’s dad • Leos dad was a fun loving eccentric father with nothing better to do that work, eat, live and love. He was anyway, a few years ago Leo found him in the yard passed out, Papa had a heart attack. He was never the same.
Ruby, Leo’s best friend • When Mr. Beeber (the drama teacher) asked the students to write about someone who annoyed then as a little kid, and what has changed. Ruby wrote about he brother. She could never finish the story because he was hit by a car at an early age.
Mr. Beeber • Mr. Beeber is the brains behind the play, Rumpopo’s Porch. Incidently Leo wanted to be Rumpopo but ended up play the old crone. Rumpopo Old Crone…
As the curtain closes to the play • Leo was approached by his father and he gave him to things, his journal from when he was 13 and his old tap dancing shoes. ( Which Leo had incidently already read and worn many times.
