  3. Background • Costly to develop and build good laboratory experiment facilities. • Particularly costly to keep such systems “alive”. • Many institutions give up teaching with the aid of laboratory experiments. Tor Ivar Eikaas

Market survey (the why...) • Questionnaire & telephone calls • 30 institutions contacted. • The situation is problematic in all institutions. • 90% of the contacts have responded very favorably to this initiative. • Possible to make approx. 8 experiments available soon. • A majority of the institutions will consider becoming customers. “ Our equipment is becoming outdated and we are therefore not suitable in a role as Provider... ...We would like to buy experimental capacity from Cyberlab”European Univ.   5. Business idea Cyberlab.Org - Organizer and provider: On a commercial basis to provide advanced online experiments and simulations on the Internet to the global education communities. Offer complete web-based control-engineering education packages for the industrial and continuing education market. The experiment will be provided by universities and companies.
