  3. LOCKING & SECURING IPADS TO OPEN LIFT & TURN Always remember to lock the charging station after each distribution period.

  4. DAILY IPAD INVENTORY INVENTORY BY SLOT NUMBERS All iPads checked in through the office will be returned to the advisory charging stations at the end of each day.

  7. TURNING ON & OFF THE IPAD STEP ONE GRADES 6, 7 & 8 The sleep/wake button is located just above the camera lens.

  8. Have Students Turn iPad Off TURN OFF Hold down the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears onscreen, then drag the slider. slide to power off Cancel

  9. Have Students Turn iPad on. TURN ON Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. Wait a few seconds before the slide to unlock function appears. 5:58 Saturday, December 28 slide to unlock

  10. Immediately Stopping When It’s Time to Move On RULE Number 7 At the close of an iPad learning event teachers will give students ten seconds count for the iPads to be shut off and placed in the correct storage location.

  12. STEP TWO GRADES 6, 7 & 8 Organizing the iPad • Drag and Drop Apps Place your finger on Safari app until it jiggles, then drag app over the Photo Booth app. Drag over to photo booth app

  15. Use of the Internet Rule # 4 Unless students have specific instructions to go onto the internet for a class activity, the student must ask for permission to do searches on the internet.

  16. Specific Sites and Apps Not Allowed at School Rule # 5 The YouTube app will not be used during school hours (unless a teacher is using it for class.)

  17. Use of the Camera and Photo Booth Apps Rule # 6 The Camera and Photo Booth apps are off limits to students unless they will be using them for class under the supervision of a teacher.

  18. STEP THREE GRADES 6, 7 & 8 TAKE A PICTURE To get the Camera at a glance swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen to open Control Center Tap on the Camera icon to open the camera. swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen

  21. STEP FOUR(GRADES 6, 7 & 8) CREATE A HOME SCREEN To Change the wallpaper tap on the Settings Application to open the settings menu.

  22. Setting Up A Lock Screen Locate and select the Brightness & Wallpapers menu.

  23. SET LOCK SCREEN Open Your Camera Roll And Select Your Photo Select the lock screen photo image to open your camera roll and select your photo. Do Not Remove Your Photo From The Locked Screen.

  29. What to Download On the right hand side of the page are three orange buttons. Click on the first button labeled "iBook Guide on “How to Care for an iPad."

  30. STEP NINE (GRADES 6, 7 & 8)USING iBOOKS When the book has finished downloading a new window will appear, click on 'Open in...'. In iBooks.

  31. Open Additional iBooks Repeat the process two more times. Students will download the following 2 iBooks: “Daily iPad Distribution” & “iPad Rules for School.”
