  2. Using your research • While conducting research • Look for a sentence that you would like to use in your paper. • Copy and Paste it into your notes OR • Handwrite it into your notes

  3. Using your research • Once your research is complete • Open the word template and start typing your biography OR • Copy and paste your work onto the template

  4. Using your research • Using what you have learned • Type or write a bibliography about your god/goddess/ monster/hero • Each of the 3 paragraphs has a job to do

  6. Using your research • Paragraph one should give the basic information about your person • Be sure to use some type of introduction to the paper • Do not use “I” or “YOU” in this part • Be formal in your tone • Have a “flow”

Using your research • Paragraph two should give family information • Give the information that you have found using a formal tone • If you did not find out some part of the family, skip that small piece • If the information seems very short, write about how the person was born or created • Have a “flow”

  8. Using your research • Paragraph three should tell a myth or story about your person • This paragraph should link to the creative piece in some way • Your person is famous for something, write about it here • One of your quotes must go here • This should be interesting • Have a “flow”

  9. Formatting your work • Please run spell check • Re-read your work • Make sure you have no run-on sentences or fragments

  10. Formatting your bibliography • Once the information is typed • Use spell check • You may adjust the font size, but you may not change the font style. • Insert your quotes into the 2 different paragraphs

  11. Citing your quote • Put the quote in Quotation marks • Once you have put your 2 quotes into your paper, each must have a parenthetical citation.

  12. Citing your quote • After the quotation mark, but before the period • Open a parenthesis • For a book • Write in the author’s last name and page number • For a database • Write in the first word from the database name • Close the parenthesis and put a period
