  1. PowerCem Africa was approached by the Business Zone

  2. The area to be back filled and sealed

  3. G 5 material was used to back fill, spread open to apply the RoadCem and Cement

  4. Windy and very cold conditions • After the back fill material was spread open it was Pre-wetted in order to apply the RoadCem

  5. Application of the RoadCem evenly and by hand

  6. Pharaoh Cem V – 32.5 was used

  7. A mix design for 5% cement application was designed

  8. Application and spreading of the cement

  9. Mixing the G 5 material, cement and RoadCem using a TLB.

  10. Bringing the back fill material up to water optimum

  11. Pre-wetting the area to be filled

  12. Filling the area with the well mixed soil at water optimum

  13. Leveling out the filled area using the TLB

  14. Compacting the filled area using static and dynamic compaction

  15. Doing the final cut and levels using a Grader

  16. Flooding the area whilst compacting in order to Power Float the area

  17. Three days later the area was spot primed in order to lay the premix asphalt

  18. 30mm Premix asphalt was applied and spread manually

  19. Compaction of the premix asphalt

  20. Spreading of the curing coat

  21. Completed Section awaiting Road Markings
