Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and Multipoint Communications Systems • SRSPs • Gazette SRSP-300.953 for the band 953-960 MHz (STL + WLL) [1Q00] • Gazette SRSP-302.5 for the band 2500-2690 MHz (MCS + MDS), taking into account return direction in the bands 2150-2160 MHz and 2686-2690 MHz for MCS and MDS usage [1Q00] • Gazette SRSP-303.4 for the band 3400-3700 MHz (FWA) [1Q00] • Other Activities • Examine the spectrum requirements for FWA in the 3.4 - 3.7 GHz range • Review RSP-113 to identify areas requiring updating

  6. Canada/US Bilateral Arrangements • Possible revisions to the 2.5 GHz MCS/MDS arrangement to accommodate two-way systems [2Q00] • Signing of new arrangements: LMCS [1Q00] 24/38 GHz [1Q00] 220 MHz (land mobile / amateur service) [1Q00] • Initiate discussions on new services (e.g. ITS)

  7. WRC-2000 Activities • Development of final Canadian proposals/positions (e.g. HDFS at • 31.8-33.4 GHz, 37-42.5 GHz, etc..) • Assess impact of WRC-2000 decisions on current and planned fixed • system deployment (e.g. IMT-2000 bands)
