  1. IIT Guwahati Recruitment 2016 – Non Faculty Positions JRF & Other Posts GENERAL INFORMATION FOR APPOINTMENT BY SELECTION (NON-FACULTY) 1. A non- refundable/ non-transferrable application fee of `500/- (for General/ OBC candidates) and `250/- (for SC/ST/PwD candidates) is to be paid through Demand Draft only drawn in favour of the “Registrar, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, and payable at Guwahati. Other mode of payment of application fee shall not be accepted. Candidates are required to write their name and address overleaf the Demand Draft. No application fee is required for internal candidates. 2. 3. Reservation : Both the posts are unreserved category. Relaxation of age for SC/ST/OBC/ PwD/Ex-Serviceman will be as per GOI rules. For internal candidates, minimum requirements pertaining to age will not be insisted upon. 4. Persons employed in Govt./Semi Govt. Organisations /Autonomous Bodies must submit their applications through their employers. 5. 6. 7. Institute reserves the right to hold a written test and/or skill test, if necessary to shortlist the candidates and only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview. Degrees as referred above are those which have been awarded by a recognized University / Institution. Mere fulfillment of the minimum qualification will not vest any right on a candidate for being called for a written test / skill test/interview. 8. The Institute also reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reasons thereof. Decision of the Institute will be final and binding in this regard. 9. Prescribed application form is available in the Institute website www.iitg.ernet.in or www.iitg.ac.in. Application in the prescribed form (hard copy only) will be considered. 10.Incomplete applications or application without self-attested copies of certificates or without application fee (if applicable) or applications received after the last date are liable to rejection. 11. Application forms are to be submitted in an A4 sized envelope super scribing the name of the post applied for along with Advertisement No. and date. 12. Any dispute with regard to the selection/recruitment process will be subject to Courts/Tribunals having jurisdiction over Guwahati. 13. Last date for receipt of completed application forms is 01.02.2016. 14.
