Ya. Karlik, Kamchatka Hydro-Physics Inst. • V. Svet, Acoustic Inst., Moscow • “Converted Hydro-Acoustic Array MG-10M as Basic • Module for a Deep-Water Nu-Telescope” • ARENA Workshop, Zeuthen, Germany, • 19 May, 2005 • Introduction: • Kamchatka array of 2400 hydrophones (BW up to 1.5 kHz). • Submarine array of 132 hydrophones – MG-10M (BW up to 25 kHz). • Key parameters of MG-10M. • IV Development of the project of a prototype module for nu-telescope using MG-10M..
In 1987 Karlik, Learned, Svet and Zheleznykh suggested to use the Russian Navy stationary hydro-acoustical Kamchatka array AGAM of 2400 hydrophones for goals of the extremely high-energy Neutrino Astronomy (Proc. XXXII-nd Rencontres de Moriond)
In 2000 the same authors (+Dedenko) considered possibilities of using for EHENA goals a portable hydro-acoustic system designated MG-10M, formerly used by the USSR Navy, now withdrawn from service.
IV. PORTABLE SUBMARINE ANTENNA MG-10M as a basic module of the deep-water Neutrino Telescope
The system MG-10M is the most suitable array to start the first ocean long-term experimental researches. This system has high enough factor of amplification (more than 1700) in a frequency band of 10-25 kHz, is capable to work on depths up to 400 meters, is compact and possesses a high degree of reliability (~10 years)
SADCO collaboration has now: • one MG-10M antenna which was bought by INR and tested at a plant in St. Petersburg, • programs for simulations acoustic signals from cascades in water, transportation of the signals in the • Real Ocean etc.

Conclusion • The most suitable place for tests and investigations with MG-10M is the Mediterranean Sea. • The most constructive way for realization of the suggested project is an international collaboration.
