  3. STEEL PROTECTION: Maxilite is a lightweight high performance fire rated board. It is a calcium silicate product and joined together with non organic binders and is completely free from asbestos, VOC and ODP compounds. Maxilite is available in 30mm, 40mm and 60mm thicknesses for use in fire protection of structural steel. Maxilite has been tested to various international test standards and is suitable for a large range of steel sizes and types. Maxilite board provides thermal insulation and heat sinking capacity for steel. CABLE PENETRATION PROTECTION: Trafalgar Fyreflex Fire Rated Sealant is a water based, low VOC and environmentally friendly fire rated, intumescent based sealant. Fyreflex has two distinct applications, the first being fire protection of construction and expansion joints in fire rated barriers. The second application being fire stopping of services passing through openings in fire barriers. The Fyrebox Mini is an intumescent type product designed to prevent the spread of fire through service penetrations. It removes the need to separate service penetrations such that all contractors can run their services through the one penetration. The Fyrebox Mini comes in various sizes in square or round and features a hinged door for easy retrofit. The Fyrebox Mini is suitable for use in any building where penetrations are made through plasterboard, Hebel and masonry walls and floors for services.

  4. The Fyrebox Maxi is an intumescent type product designed to prevent the spread of fire through service penetrations. It removes the need to separate service penetrations such that all contractors can run their services through the one penetration. It features a hinged door for easy retrofit. Suitable for: 1 - Electrical, data and communication cables. 2 - Steel and copper pipes. 3 - Insulated copper pipes. 4 - Typical air-conditioning services. 5 - Small conduits. Fyrebox allows for multiple and mixed services to pass through it, and in close vicinity to each other, with proven fire testing eliminating the need for 200mm serparation between adjacent services. It allows for cable trays to pass directly through it. The Fyrebox Cast-in allows for building designers and service consultants to identify the required location for services, prior to construction and route services which penetrate the floor slab to pass through Fyrebox.

Plastic PENETRATION PROTECTION: Trafalgar Fyrechoke One Piece Retrofit Fire Collars are a premium collar designed to provide maximum protection against the spread of fire and smoke through walls and floors that are penetrated by plastic pipes or air-conditioning services. Using a hinge and integrated latch lock mechanism, the two halves of the collar simply fit around the pipe and fasten together. Extensively tested and approved to AS1530.4 and AS4072.1 in accordance with the National Construction Code of Australia.

SEALANT: 1- Fire Rated Trafagar FyreFlex is designed for sealing internal construction and expansion joints and openings for service penetrations requiring up to 4 hour fire ratings. 2- Insitu internal joints in concrete, precast panels, block work, brick work and drywall systems. 3- Sealing of electrical cables and pipe penetrations. 4- Acoustic gap filling combined with fire rating requirement. 5- Suitable for use with other Trafalgar products including board, mortar, pillow and collar systems. Testing Fire tests have been conducted to AS1530.4, in accordance with AS4072.1, on concrete floors, brick, masonry, tilt-up panels, block and plasterboard walls.

Construction and Expansion Joints - Construction and expansion joints are to be fire stopped to maintain the required FRL of the wall or floor element by treatment with FyreFlex fire rated sealant in accordance with Trafalgar’s instructions. Service Penetrations - Service penetrations are to be fire stopped to maintain the required FRL of the wall or floor element by treatment with FyreFlex fire rated sealant in accordance with Trafalgar’s instructions. When full insulation rating (temperature rise) is required for the FRL, FyreWrap will be needed to be wrapped on ductile services such as cable trays and steel and copper pipes for example.
