Net Force • In many situations, including driving, more than one force is acting on an object. • The combination of all forces acting on an object is the net force. • Net force determines whether, and by how much an object’s motion is changed. • F= ma • F can represent a net force
Example of Balanced Force • G-tug of war • F-airplane going straight • E-tug og war • D-roller coaster • C-cars going same speed & crashing • B-see saw • A- car with constant rate going straight
Example of balanced force • E- a car that drives a constant speed on a straight road • F-when someone skateboards on a flat surface • G-train traveling 45mph on a straight track • H-walking on a flat surface • D-riding a bike on a flat road • C-tug o war • B-car • A-a golf ball rolls at a constant speed on a flat surface

Force Diagram • It shows an object or a system as a simple square and is labeled only with the forces applied to it. • Look at the diagram on the board.

Balanced Force • It shares an equal weight and there is a net force of “0” on the object.
Unbalanced Forces • Does not share an equal weight since the net force has changed and is acting on an object.
