  5. A Very Good Gig • We were created last (woman was very last) • We alone were created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26, 27). • We alone were given authority over God’s creation (Genesis 1:28; 2:15). • We were created to live in face to face relationship with God (Genesis 3:8).

A Very Good Gig - Lost • It wasn’t just Adam and Eve… • Psalm 53:2, 3 – “God looks down from heaven • on the sons of men • to see if there are any who understand, • any who seek God. • 3 Everyone has turned away, • they have together become corrupt; • there is no one who does good, • not even one.

Good News Begins… • We were never left alone… • Ever been dumped? • The promise of a Savior (Genesis 3:15) • The covering of skins (Genesis 3:21) • The Promise given to Abraham (Genesis 22) • The ongoing promise in OT sanctuary (2 Chronicles 3:1) • John the Baptist, Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29).

Supremacy of Christ • Colossians 1:15 – “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.”
