Episodic Memory. Episodic memory contains memories about events from one’s own past, e.g., how I fed rabbits in childhood, how I have been to New York, the first kiss, how I cooked spaghetti yesterday.

Episodic Memory Episodic memory contains memories about events from one’s own past, e.g., how I fed rabbits in childhood, how I have been to New York, the first kiss, how I cooked spaghetti yesterday. In contrast to semantic memory, episodic memory is autobiographic. However, people often combine episodic memories with knowledge. For example, if a manager has to report what he put on first this morning, his shirt or his tie, he may rely on his knowledge rather than on genuine episodic memories. Contributor © POSbase 2003
