A survey by McKinsey Global Institute found only 25% of Indian graduates is employable, Ficci said.

  8. Current Crisis in Education Started in 1835 by Lord Macaulay Riding back to early independence era, the Government policies and political system appear to have had forgotten India’s rich heritage of knowledge based society. They continued with the British thought suggested by Lord Macaulay in his address to British Parliament on 2nd February 1835 “I have traveled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief. Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such caliber, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and, therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native self-culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation."

  9. Accelerated Population Growth – a Challenge for Mass Education Accelerated Population Growth Hunter Age, Agriculture Age, Industrial Age, Information/Knowledge age Food, Medicines, Technology, Science

  10. The Core of Ancient Wisdom • The most significant discourse on Ancient Wisdom is about Human Consciousness. • The ancient tradition sees consciousness, life, and substance as inseparable aspects • of an underlying reality which encompasses everything while simultaneously • being its inmost essence. • This underlying unity is the basis of all phenomena, internal and external. • As the fundamental organizing principle, it transcends even primal dualities such as • time and space, matter and consciousness, and self and non-self, intellect and reason. • Living with the reality of interconnectedness of all life raises the level of human • consciousness. • This practice alone can liberate the human mind from a mundane life and connect with • Divine Bliss.

  11. Applied Ancient Wisdom for Modern Time Many Sages, Saints & Philosophers all around the Globe have emphasized the importance of raising human Consciousness by Life-long self learning. It’s time for the Humanity to act before the crisis becomes Unmanageable.

  12. Moral & Ethical Value Based Learning Education promoting a sattvic life style can help inculcate these qualities

  13. Purpose of Education • To comprehend the functioning of the material • world by using the five senses • To learn some skills and knowledge to contribute • in a selected discipline of human endeavor • To understand the deeper meaning of our • presence on the planet by looking inward • To unlock innate wisdom • To realize our Full Potential as a Human-Being

Educational Policy Paralysis of the Present • The current Education Policy is based on an Industrial Model of Learning. • It is a continuation of the Education System based on Lord Macaulay’s • Address to British parliament in 1835. • Many attempts and recommendation to the central government • education policy group have failed to bring any change. • 50 years have passed and recommendations of the Kothari Education • Commission to transform education are still waiting, in some report in the • HRD ministry, to be implemented. • The present education system is outdated and doing more harm than • good to address societal needs. • Influential Education Stakeholders need to work together to make another • Forceful attempt to bring much needed change to education.

  16. Transforming Mechanized Learning to Individualized Learning Factory Learning Model (Outdated/Obsolete) • Synchronization • Compartmentalization • Batch Processing • Standardization Personalized Learning Model (Emerging/Needed) • Variety of Skills Developed to Solve Problems • Choice in Learning Style supported by iClouds Learning • Resources • Freedom in Choosing Courses • Individual Potential Realization

  17. Multimedia Learning • Sharing & absorbing knowledge via Multimedia include; text, speech, data, image, animation, video, color, music etc. generated by computer • Using more than one media to absorb knowledge is called Multimedia Learning • Interactive Multimedia actively involves the participants by providing control on the contents/media and thus creates focused learning • Multimedia makes learning more interesting, joyful and effective • Innovative application of Multimedia self-observation system can help purify the human mind. • It can lead to human self-transformation.

  18. Human Negative Field of Energy - the Source of Inner Disharmony • Negative thoughts of anger, greed, lust, attachment, • & Ego etc. have been cultivated in the human Mind by • living in unawareness. • These thoughts are released in the form of stress thus • disturbing the equanimity of our Mind. • This field of energy also blocks the flow of Consciousness • through our Mind. • Eliminating this negative field of energy is the first step • towards Inner Transformation. • The negative vibrations of this energy field can be • observed by the use of multimedia technology. • This has the power of accelerating the process of Inner • Transformation & True Learning.

  19. Human Mind: Origin of Thoughts • Mind is a BioEM wave of Energy with layers of intelligence • Mind is a thinking machine • Unfulfilled desires create new thoughts • A network of thoughts creates mind’s perceptive capability • Every mind creates its own reality • Mind has visualization power • Mind is a learning machine and adopts to new situations • Mind works best in the present moment • Mind interacts with intellect on a regular basis • Mind regulates public display of emotions • Most of thoughts reside in the subconscious mind as beliefs

  20. Correlation between Human Heart Rate, Breathing Cycle & Thoughts Negative Thoughts of Frustration Disturb Normal Heart Rate

  21. Personalized Interactive Multimedia Self Observation System Reference Natural Breathing Cycle Wireless Feedback Link • Modern Digital Technology provides the ability to observe the inner negative vibrations of frustration which interfere with Focused Learning, Deep Meditation & Inner Awakening. • The feedback link provides instructions in the form of speech, music, mantras etc. to correct breathing by dismissing thoughts of Stress. • Technology becomes the Mirror of the Mind.

  22. The Process of Learning • Learning is a natural process and begins right after birth. • It continues till the last day of life on the planet. • Our childhood subconscious conditioning caused by an unaware society becomes a barrier towards true learning. • Prerequisites for learning and solving problems include: curiosity, keen observation, self-discipline, impersonality, cooperation with one's co-workers, and verification of data and hypotheses. • Self-Motivation, Inquisitiveness and reflection are key to the process of • True learning.

The Elements of True Learning • To comprehend the functioning of the material • world by using the five sensory Channels. • To learn some skills and knowledge to contribute • in a selected discipline of human endeavor. • To uncover the “Truth of Life” by exploring the • “ Mental Field of Energy”. • The prerequisite to know/experience the Reality • of Material & Spiritual world is to have an intense • desire/longing for True Learning/ Inner Transformation. • Thus realize our Full Potential as Human-Beings.

  24. Process of True Learning Ask Questions (Inquisitiveness) Watch, Listen &Take Notes, Power of Observation Cycle Respond Reflect • Learning is a Natural Process via the 5 sensory outward bourn channels. • True Leaning starts when the 5 Sensory windows are closed and One Turns Inward. • Reflection is key to advance on the path of Inner Journey.

  25. Process of Cultivating Conscious Facilitators Caring Facilitator Motivated Learner • Bringing the energies of Caring facilitators & Motivated Learners together • Releases the energy of Love. • This enhanced energy of Love helps transform Caring facilitators to Conscious • Facilitators. • This is the model of Gurukul Learning updated by modern technologies.
