1. JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Digital Production Operative Reporting to: Digital Production Supervisor Company Profile Stocksigns have been trading for 60 years; they are market leading manufacturers of health and safety signs, as well as a range of high quality bespoke signs. They are owned by an asset rich property based parent company, British and Foreign Wharf. Stocksigns offer a complete signage solution including; quality temporary signage; Health and Safety signs and a wide range of bespoke signage. Scope of role This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has lots of drive and a strong work ethic and wants to become a key member of our busy production team. Applicants for this role must be able to prove they have the determination to work hard as well as the desire and focus to learn new skills in a challenging environment. The reward for the successful, self-motivated candidate is the opportunity to learn a broad range of skills associated with sign production and become a key member of our current production team. Key Responsibilities Large format digital printing and digital cutting (SwissQPrint Impala, HP Scitex and Latex, Kongsberg). Plotting, cutting and weeding vinyl signs (Summa cutter). Vinyl graphics application onto various sign materials (RollsRoller). Processing internal works orders using in house software ready for manufacturing. Use RIP software to prepare files for printing (Caldera, Onyx). Using Adobe software for the preparation and checking of artworks sent through by the graphics department. Maintaining a level of stock for various equipment within the department and replacing items with Purchasing when necessary. Person Specification Qualifications GCSE Grade C or higher in Maths and English

Skills & Abilities Required Basic knowledge of the Adobe suite (Particularly Illustrator and Acrobat). Computer literacy and competence in both PC and MAC. Having both a technical and practical approach to work. Desired Basic understanding of vector and pixel graphics, Adobe Creative suite (particularly Illustrator), PDF, digital workflows (capable of learning iCut Layout, RIP softwares, printer control softwares) Basic material knowledge (roll and sheet materials, composites, etc.) Basic understanding of print procedures in large format printing, roll and sheetfed, flatbed Basic understanding of analogue and digital finishing procedures in large format printing (application, laminating, cutting, routing, etc.) High level of attention to detail. A good team player able to work as part of a group and also independently. Work is of a physical nature and would suit energetic individuals A can-do attitude and a positive approach to new challenges within this role is essential.
