  4. Aim: to make it more easily accessible • Main target group: teenagers, especially upper secondary school students • Plain language

  5. Simple information about the Storting • Of interest to all groups – not just teenagers • Difficult words directly linked to a dictionary. • Designed to be more appealing to young people

  6. Information presented in four different sections: • "Democracy and power" • "What does the Storting do?" • "How does the Storting work?" • "How can you participate?"

  7. Also contained a quiz with questions about the Storting • www.tinget.no launched in 2005

  8. Generally very positive feedback • Good help in learning more about the Storting in particular, and democracy in general

  9. Problems • Student interviews with MPs However • Few classes took part • Intention to have regular news updates However • Little time for this • Same articles on front page for too long

  10. 2008: main website replaced • Everything new, information texts rewritten • Easier to understand than those on www.tinget.no • More modern design

  12. Main purpose of www.tinget.no now gone • Needed redesigning to be worth keeping • Decided to close it down • Some features moved to ordinary website
