Nargle By Robbie Cohen
Name • My animal is called a Nargle. It is narwhal and a eagle. Its scientific name is Nargolian shaboodles.
Appearance and Structure • A Nargle is a mixture of a mammal and a bird. My animal has the body of a narwhal with thick, leathery skin. It also has wings with feathers that dry automatically so it can fly. It has eagle claws and a long horn right above its two-holed nose and small mouth. Its mouth has incredibly razor sharp teeth. Its horn is even more deadly. One stab in a vital area could prove fatal. My animal usually swims in the ocean, but it can also fly if it wants to.
Diet • The Nargle is a vicious carnivore. The Nargle uses its camouflage ability and waits by a rock for a couple weeks. When a fish comes by the Nargle jumps out and rips it to shreds. Then it gobbles the fish up. If it is a smaller fish it will just eat it whole.
Diet • Quaternary consumer Plankton sardines Bluefin Nargle
Habitat • The Nargle leads a solitary life. The only time it sees a female Nargle is in mating season off the coast of New Zealand. The Nargle lives in the cold waters of the north pole. The Nargle doesn’t have any predators except the humans. A male Nargle can easily kill 3 men. But bullets can hurt it badly. The Nargle has a huge rival in the sea. The Squake and the Nargle always fight, but neither can win every time.
Life • The average Nargle lives up to 200 years. When it is born, a Nargle is 2 feet long. It grows to be 8-10 feet long. When the baby Nargle is 10 or 11 years old the mother Nargle leaves, and goes to die. The Nargle is a warm blood.
Sensing • The Nargle has “eagle eyes” so it can see amazingly, even in the darkest depths of the ocean. The Nargle goes into a hibernation state for a couple days after a big meal. It has incredible touch and hear, so it senses the water moving around it’s body and the Nargle wakes up to protect itself or get its next meal.
Communication • The Nargle usually doesn't need to communicate, but when it has to mate it travels to the mating grounds. When it gets there the Nargle calls out a long guttural cry and the females come to inspect it. If it is very big and has lots of battle wounds, the female would mate with it. If there are more than two females, the male chooses.
Survival • The Nargle usually isn't approached by animals. It uses its camouflage and hides for a couple of days. When something comes that could be a meal, the Nargle grabs the fish with its talons and rips it apart with its horn. Humans usually stay away from Nargles. They are known to be even more deadly than sharks and cows combined.
