  1. Sofia_SIRAD_LAZIO

  2. Sofia_SIRAD • The first variant of apparatus Sofia_SIRAD for on board of ISS investigations mechanical structure was design; • The prototype of small size power supply for space instrument operating on the Russian Segment of ISS was produced; • The trigger system on base of plastic scintillation counters as mechanical design as electronic scheme was developed and produced; • Preliminary software algorithms was developed;

  3. The prototypes of small size power supply and trigger system

  4. 3 plastic scintillation counters Small size power supply for operating on the Russian Segment of ISS PC-104 tower Electronics of trigger system AC/DC converter for ground work

  5. LAZIO • The mechanical structure design of apparatus LAZIO detectors for investigations on board of ISS was developed; • The small dimension power supply for LAZIO detectors was developed • Three scintillation detectors on base of photomultipliers HP6780 and front-end electronics was developed; • Two scintillation detectors on base of photodiodes (SiPM) and front-end electronics was developed; • The trigger system of apparatus LAZIO was developed; • 16 tiles (plastic scintillator+shifter and photodiode) was produced

  8. SiPM Silicon Photomultiplier (SiPM) Comparison of characteristics vacuum and SiPM The SiPM consists of the array (matrix) of p-n-junctions (~103 mm-2) joint together on a common silicon substrate. Each p-n-junction working in limited Geiger mode with a gain 106, but SiPM in whole is analogue detector, because the SiPM output signal is a sum of the signals from p-n-junctions fired by photons
