Thousands of people attend this pilgrimage every year because it is so significant. The months of June and July tend to be the most pleasant for the Ekdham Yatra. To go to Kedarnath, helicopters take off from a helipad in Guptkashi. Popular tourist destinations in the vicinity of Kedarnath include: Vasuki Tal, at an elevation of 4,135 metres, is a scenic lake and a well- known trekking destination. At the foot of Kedarnath is the holy place of Gaurikund, a famous destination for pilgrims. The Triyuginarayan Temple is a Shiva shrine perched at an altitude of 3,800 metres. Chorabari Glacier, at an altitude of 3,845 m, is a fantastic hiking destination. 5th Place: Bhairon Ghati, a mountain pass at 3,450 m that is ideal for adventure travel. Information for Travelers Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is the closest airport, approximately 215 kilometres from Kedarnath. Rishikesh Train Station is 214 kilometres away and is the closest station accessible by train. Using a taxi from Haridwar or Rishikesh to Kedarnath is the most convenient option. The trip to Kedarnath from Kathmandu takes about 9-10 hours.
