  2. What is a Health Administrator? • Health Administrators plan, direct, coordinate, and supervise the delivery of health care. • Health Administrators are also sometimes referred to as health care executives or health care managers.

In health care, Health Administrators manage: • integration of health care systems • technological innovations • complex regulatory and management environments • restructuring of the workplace • health care quality improvement • more efficient and cost effective care delivery

Where do Health Administrators work? • Hospitals, clinics and outpatient departments • Physician group practices • Nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities • Home health and home care agencies • Health Insurance companies • Universities and research institutions • Public health departments and other state and federal health agencies

Regis College Program • Full and part-time options available. • Full-time program can be completed in 16 months while student works full-time. • Full-time program: classes held on a weekend day every other weekend and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. • Full-time program: $10,000 scholarship available for Spring 2013 class.

  12. Regis College Program • Total of 14 courses, 42 credits. • 12 required courses and 2 electives. • Field experience requirement in last semester of 100 hours. • Student may elect to also earn a Certificate in Gerontology, Health Informatics, or Health Policy (under development).
