Asahi/America Physical Properties • UV:Excellent UV resistance in all materials. After 10 years exposure, virtually no decrease in burst pressure & a 5% increase in tensile strength. • Abrasion:Superior abrasion resistance compared to metal valves due to the inherent properties of plastics; smooth surfaces and better absorption of impact energy. • Impact Resistance: Superior impact resistance compared to competitors’ plastic valves . Result of body mass (wall thickness) and little or no voids created in the molding process. Physical Properties
Asahi/America Quality & Design • All valves have a minimum working pressure safety factor of 4 to 1. • Average hydrostatic burst pressure is 2000 psi. • All valves are tested after manufacturing. All valves (except dampers) meet or exceed Class VI Shutoff. All valves have traceability as each is labeled with a manufacturer’s number. All valves can be hydrostatically tested 1.5 x max. working pressure for 10 minutes per ASME B31.1.
