  11. The Effect of the New Covenant • Anything specific to the Levitical order has passed away • “God is spirit…” • True worship is now characterized by an offering of the heart and soul

  12. The Effect of the New Covenant • The need for worship with musical instruments has passed • instruments were tied to the Levitical Priests (2Chron 29:25-26; 1Chron 23:3-6) • In Spiritual Worship the heart becomes the instrument (Eph 5:19)

  13. The Effect of the New Covenant • the value of Sacraments have passed away • Baptism is not a sign of salvation but a condition • The Lord’s supper is a memorial not a sign • No value in “christening” “Eucharist” “last Rites” etc.
