OPPD’s Initial View of Buy America • Only applies to reimbursable relocation projects • Buy America can not increase cost by more than 25% • Buy America must be incorporated on all federally funded transportation projects • Applies to manufactured or assembled materials as well as raw steel & iron

  5. OPPD Materials Affected by Buy America • Transmission Poles & Foundations • Street Light Poles • High Strength Anchor Bolts and Anchor Rods • Manhole Covers, Risers and Rims • Rebar and Other Reinforcing Steel (Vaults) • Precast Manholes

  6. OPPD Materials Not Affected by Buy America • Wire & Cable • Temporary Relocations • Existing Facilities • Assembly Materials (clamps, crimps, etc) • Attachment Materials (crossarm bracing, guy wire, etc) • Transformers & Switchgears
