  4. [S-1] Windows 7 Support Description: Windows 7 32 bit /64 bit is now supported. * On Windows 7 x64, XVL Studio runs as a 32-bit application with the WOW64 subsystem. Lattice Technology, Inc.

  5. [S-2] Silent Installation Description: XVL Studio can be silently installed. Method: Please see Silent Installation Manual which is located in the following directory.   6. [S-3] Undo/Redo Manipulator Operations Description: Manipulator operations can be undone/redone during an operation. Menu: Standard Toolbar: [Undo] / [Redo] Standard Toolbar Parts path is being defined. (Position is not yet fixed) By selecting the Undo icon, you can go back to the previous manipulator position. Benefit: You do not need to cancel the operation to go back to the previous manipulator position. Lattice Technology, Inc.

  7. Measurement / Cross-sectioning

  8. [S-4] Improved Measurement Navigation Description: Can perform measurement continuously with better navigation through elements. Menu: [Evaluation] > [Measure Dimension] After adding measurements, you can continuously select new elements without changing element types. Select “Arbitrary element” for Element 1 and 2. No need to change Selecting an element is more easily achieved Benefit: Using this method, you can reduce mouse operations when measuring 3D models. Lattice Technology, Inc.

  9. [S-5] Improved Measurement Methods Description: There is now an improved measuring method when you measure the distance between the user coordinate system and a point. Menu: Measurement Toolbar: [Distance Between User Coordinate System and Point] Before Ver. 9.0 User coordinate system needed to be selected each time. After Ver. 9.1 User coordinate system is selected one time. You can select target points continuously without selecting the user coordinate system again. Lattice Technology, Inc.

  10. [S-6] Base Coordinate System Property Description: The Base coordinate system can now be saved as a property of each dimension. Menu: Edit Panel: [Dimension List] Base coordinate of each dimension is viewed in the Dimension List. Benefit: You can easily view which base coordinate system is used for each dimension.   11. [S-7] New Icons for Cross-section Operations Description: Frequently used functions for cross-sectioning are now available from icons. Menu: [Evaluation] > [Cross-section] > [Edit Cross-section] dialog Cutting plane moves to the selected position.   12. [S-8] Measurement of Real-time Cross-section Studio Pro Description: Real-time cross-section can be measured without creating profiles. Menu: [Evaluation] > [Cross-section] > [Edit Cross-section] dialog Cross-sectioning is still active Real-time cross-section is measured using measurement tools. Real-time cross-section is measured without creating profiles. You can continuously change the cross-section position and add more measurement to different cross-sections. Benefit: • After measuring one cross-section, you can continuously change the position of the cutting plane and measure another cross-section. • For large assembly models, this is effective in saving time to create cross-section profiles.   14. [S-9] Draft Angle Check Description: Check the correct application of draft to the faces of selected parts. Menu: Menu: [Evaluation] – [Draft Angle Check] Select target part and specify reference draft angle. Faces with insufficient draft angle will be highlighted. Target part Lattice Technology, Inc.

  15. [S-10] Color Bar Display Enhancement Difference Detection Description: User-defined color bar can be imported/exported. Menu: [Evaluation] > [Import / Export Color Bar] Color bar is edited in CSV.   16. [S-11] More Options for Color Map Generation/Display Difference Detection Description: Color map of smaller than specified value is not generated. Color map of smaller than specified value is not displayed. Menu: [Evaluation] > [Check Difference] [Evaluation] > [Display Options for Difference] Color map display range is adjusted using the slider bar No color map is generated for less than 0.2 Benefit: Can obtain better visibility of model difference.   18. [S-12] Optimized Process Animation Studio Standard Description: An optimized process animation format is now available. Studio Pro Menu: Process Panel: [Options] > [Optimize Animations] Performance comparison between XVL Studio 9.0 and 9.1 Benefit: - Smaller file size, faster input/output. - Very effective when you handle large assembly models. * Requires XVL Player 10.2 or later to play optimized process animations.   19. [S-13] Merging Processes Studio Standard Studio Pro Description: Different processes for the same 3D model are imported and merged from XVL files. Menu: Process Panel: [Import Process] Process Tree Import Worker A Import XVL model Worker B Benefit: - Process design tasks can be shared by multiple people. - You can visually check the part matching as you import processes.   20. [S-14] Tools and Equipment Animation Studio Standard Description: Tools and equipment are now animated in a process animation. Studio Pro Menu: Edit Process Animation Panel: [Add Objects] Benefit: • You can check the movement of Tools / Equipment in the production process. • You can inspect collisions of Tools / Equipment in the production process.   21. [S-15] Man-hour Graph Studio Standard Description: Man-hour graph can be displayed to check the work load balance. Studio Pro Menu: Edit Panel: [Process List] > [Options] > [Graph man-hours] Specify level of process to display Standard time and Display time are set Standard time You can check the line balance from the graph.   25. [S-18] Disassembly Parts List List Edit + Illustration Description: A parts list based on the Disassembly Tree is now available.   26. [S-19] Disassembly Composition List List Edit + Illustration Description: Disassembly Tree settings can be viewed and edited in the edit panel. Menu: Edit Panel: [Disassembly Composition List] Settings of each node can be viewed and edited from the list. Lattice Technology, Inc.

  27. [S-20] CSV I/O from the Edit Panel Studio Standard Description: CSV files can be imported / exported from the Edit Panel.   28. [S-21] Deleting Properties Studio Standard Description: Selected property is deleted from all objects. Studio Pro Menu: Edit Panel: [Options] > [Delete Properties] List Edit Selected properties are deleted from all objects (parts, process, etc). Delete Properties Benefit: - When you do not want to disclose certain properties in the 3D data, this is a more efficient way to delete properties. Lattice Technology, Inc.

  29. [S-22] Trace Lines Follow Part Movement Illustration Description: When parts move, related trace lines will move together. Menu: [Tools] > [Move Part] > [Move relevant trace lines] When parts are moved, related trace lines will follow the parts Move * Applies to trace lines created in XVL Studio 9.1 or later. Benefit: - You can easily change the layout of sub-assembly in the illustration. Lattice Technology, Inc.

  30. [S-23] Circled Annotations Description: Notes and dimensions can be circled in the 3D view. Menu: [Edit Note] / [Edit Dimension] dialog Edit Note dialog Benefit: - Circled item numbers are included in raster 3D image. Lattice Technology, Inc.

  31. [S-24] Displaying Hidden Trace Lines Description: Hidden trace lines are displayed as dotted lines. Menu: Display Options: [Switch Display] tab You can view the trace lines in hidden areas. Benefit: - Trace lines in hidden areas give you more details about how parts are assembled. Lattice Technology, Inc.

  32. [S-25] Exporting 2D Illustrations Based on the 3D View Description: A 2D Illustration can now be exported based on what you see in the 3D view window. Menu: [Edit Note] / [Edit Dimension] dialog Illustration Illustration Output dialog When you check this, changes to other parameters will be limited. Illustration 3D view display Benefit: * Font style will not be applied. * All line colors will be black. • You can include different font sizes, line widths, line types in the output illustration.
