  2. ísimo - suffix The suffix – ísimo is used as an intensifier and is usually translated as “very” when added onto the end of adjectives.

  3. ísimo - suffix Adjectives with the “ísimo” ending have four possible forms (ísimo, ísima, ísimos, ísimas) and must agree with the nouns they modify in number and gender. ie... El examen es facilísimo. Juana es altísima.

  4. ísimo – adding the suffix 2.If the adjective ends in a vowel – then drop the vowel and add the ísimo to the end. ie...verde - verdísmo grande - grandísimo

  5. ísimo – adding the suffix 1.If the adjective ends in a consonant – then just add the ísimo to the end. ie...fácil - facilísmo difícil - dificilísimo

  6. If the adjective ends in a vowel, drop it before • adding ísimo • When the last consonant in the adjective is • c, g, or z, you must make the following spelling • changes before adding ísimo: • c qu (rico → riquisimo) • ggu (largo → larguisimo) • z c (feliz→ felicisimo)

  7. Irregulars • Irregulars • The following adjectives are irregular: • agrio – agrísimo (drop the io) • frío – frísimo (drop the io) • caliente – calentísimo, calientísimo • (both are excepted for caliente)
