Electronics in the classroom • Kids take their phones and everything else that they have that is electronic to school and text and are more into them instead of school work • The kids that text in class Usually have bad grades
Statistics and Trends • Kids that text in class usually have worse grades then those who don’t text in class • 31% of kids are on the internet, watching TV, or doing some other form of media 25% of kids are doing their homework 46% of kids are doing something else
Danger of texting in class • They can get in trouble a lot faster then those who don’t text in class • You are “targeted” more then others • Teens that text in class don’t learn as much as teens that don’t text in class
Advice to teens • Don’t text in class • Don’t spend all your time on electronic Spend more time on school work
Advice to parents • Set a limited time total that teens can use electronics • Make sure they do their school work • Take child’s electronicsat bedtime
