Before Beginning Instruction: • Use diagnostic assessments to determine student readiness. • Formal or informal • KWL Charts • Determine Student Interest • Include students in the planning process • Incorporating student interests into a particular lesson • Identify student learning styles and environmental preferences • Ask students how they learn best • Large or small groups • lighting
Strategies During: • Grouping • Stations/Centers • Cube Activities • Journaling • Reading • Blogging • Choice Boards
After Incorporate different ways of assessment based on students’ work during the lessons. Use data found in assessment for further instruction in future lessons.

How to adjust your teaching style: • Include all children in every lesson • Opening your eyes and paying attention to students needs • Organization of materials • Reinforcing difficult material • Activate student knowledge of material
