Vocabulary List #2 • inevitable adj.: • unavoidable. • Example: It was inevitable that Ronnie the rhino would spend the • weekend alone. • crucial adj.: • highly important. • Example: Ronnie thought it was crucial that he make more friends. • provocative adj.: • stirring up thoughts or feelings. • Example: Seeing the other rhinos playing games had a provocative • effect on Ronnie.

  2. irrevocably adv.: • in a way that cannot be undone or changed. • Example: Ronnie felt that he had irrevocably damaged his reputation after • he forget his glasses and accidentally charged at a large tree. • cognitive adj.: • having to do with the process of knowing and being able to remember. • Example: The incident with the tree damaged his brain and temporarily • affected Ronnie’s cognitive reasoning. • fugitives n.: • people fleeing from danger. • Example: Ronnie briefly considered becoming a fugitive and leaving his • community.
