Europeanhealthinsurancecard (1) (28+Iceland, Liechtenstein, NorwayandSwitzerland) • You have it from your home country (you cannot get it from Estonia)
European health insurance card (2) • Substitute certificate of an EU health insurance card (form E128) • Always have the EHIC with you in case you need medical help in the EU!
European health insurance card (3) Ensures medical care on similar conditions as for Estonian citizens: • Planned treatments cannot be carried out in the limits of the EU health card (e.g. planned surgeries); • Healthcare is (mostly) free for you; still at your first visit to a specialist you have to pay a fee up to 5 EUR; • Prescribed medications are cheaper; • Dental care for adults is not free in Estonia.
