Year 5 Prepare for Advent Year 5 children recently visited the Anglican Cathedral for activities to help us prepare for Advent. Enjoy our photos and reflect with us on the personal writing of some of our children.

We met the shepherd who led his friends to see the baby Jesus. As part of our ‘Pilgrimage’, we visited Mary’s home, Joseph’s workshop and the stable at Bethlehem, where we lit candles at the crib. We prepared a secret gift. We offered prayers at the Crib.

Throughout the day, we made many different things which we could take home to help us reflect on the Christian season of Advent. Here, we are making hand-shapes to create our Class Advent Wreath. Making the flying angels was a very popular activity!
