The Process • Decided early in the year we needed a retail promotion and decided to follow the success the auto dealers had shown during the fall. • Decided the promotion should be different than other RYKO promotions • Customer funded – Same as the car dealers • Short term – designed to get orders now! • Focus would be as a promotion! • Direct mail – May, June and July 8000 pieces! • ICA convention theme and introduction - Web link

  3. The Tender • We asked Frontier to put together a program • Too high!!! • Tendered our equipment leasing business • Asked Frontier as well as other leasing companies to submit a rate bid for 0% and 7.6 % Financing • In the end we went back to Frontier and asked them to dig deeper!

  4. The Test • Introduced at the SE Regional Meeting in April • Program was explained • Questions were answered • Consensus was to move forward with the program

April 12, 2002 Announces - For a Limited Time 0% Leasing or 7.6% Leasing with Factory Cash Rebates On RYKO Manufacturing Co.’s most popular car wash systems Order a qualifying RYKO car wash system from now until July 31, 2002, and receive your choice of 0% interest or 7.6% interest with factory rebates of up to $6000 (or even more). Choose from the popular SoftGloss XS, US2001 OHD, Select A Wash or VT2000 FoamBrite Conveyor. There has never been a deal like this from RYKO! Orders must be placed and all paperwork completed no later than July 31, 2002. Equipment must be shipped from the factory no later than October 1, 2002. Offer valid in RYKO Direct Areas and participating RYKO Distributor areas. See your local RYKO representative for details. Customer must qualify for leasing approval. Factory rebates may not be used in conjunction with 0% interest leasing. Shipment of the equipment must be made no later than October 1, 2002. RYKO reserves the right to cancel or exclude certain equipment from this offer at any time. See your local representative for details. 0% Financing Put together your car wash package with your local RYKO representative and then lease for 0% interest through Frontier Leasing for 36 months! One payment in advance, thirty five monthly payments and $1 at the end of the lease and the equipment is yours! Example: Car Wash Purchase Price $110,000 One Payment in Advance $ 3,056 35 Monthly Payments of $ 3,056 One dollar due at the end of the lease.
