  2. Passover • PASSOVER Lev 23:4 'These are the LORD's appointed feasts, the sacred assemblies you are to proclaim at their appointed times: • Lev 23:5 The LORD's Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. • Passover is the Feast of Salvation . In both Testaments the Blood of the Lamb delivers from slavery. The Jew from Physical slavery in Egypt and the Christian from the Slavery of the Egypt of Sin • 1Co 5:7 ….. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:

  3. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD 2. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD Lev 23:6 On the fifteenth day of that month the LORD's Feast of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread made without yeast. 1Co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. 1Co 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. Leaven of the Pharisees Leaven of the Sadducees Leaven of Herod Leaven of Galatia Leaven of Corinth

  4. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Lev 23:10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest: Lev 23:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

  5. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS The Jewish Sabbath is from Friday at 6:00pm to Saturday 6:00 pm Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: Lev 23:11 -The Feast of First Fruits took place on the “morrow after the Sabbath.” (The first day of the week)

  6. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS The standing ripe harvest, barley and wheat would soon be reaped. A person would go to the standing harvest and take one sheaf and bring it to the priest. The lone sheaf was called the “sheaf of First Fruits.” The priest would then take the sheaf and wave it before the Lord in his house. This was done on the “morrow after the Sabbath” no one could eat of the bread or roasted grain of the corn harvest until that sheaf had been presented to the Lord and accepted for Israel

  7. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS The law of first mention shows us Sheaves is the Bible represent people. Gen 37:5 Now Joseph had a dream and he told it to his brothers, and they hated him still more. Gen 37:6 And he said to them, Listen now and hear, I pray you, this dream that I have dreamed: Gen 37:7 We [brothers] were binding sheaves in the field, and behold, my sheaf arose and stood upright, and behold, your sheaves stood round about my sheaf and bowed down!

  8. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Once the sheaf had been waved before the Lord and accepted the whole harvest was now accepted by the Lord. Wheat is a picture of humble believers who are ripe or mature bowing before the Lord Barley symbolizes the Jewish Harvest Wheat is also a picture of the Gentile Harvest Although barley and wheat were both planted in the autumn, barley matured faster and would be harvested sooner. The firstfruits of grain offered during the Festival of Unleavened Bread or First Fruits would have been barley.

  9. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS "Wheat ripens later than barley and, was harvested during the sixth agricultural season or Pentecost Wheat is a picture of humble believers who are ripe or mature bowing before the Lord Barley symbolizes the Jewish Harvest Wheat is also a picture of the Gentile Harvest The Barley harvest symbolizes the Jewish people being harvested first then the Gentiles. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

  10. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Joh 6:9 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? Joh 6:10 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. Joh 6:11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. Joh 6:12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. Joh 6:13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragmentsof the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten. Barley symbolizes the Jewish Harvest

  11. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Rom 9:27 And Isaiah calls out (solemnly cries aloud) over Israel: Though the number of the sons of Israel be like the sand of the sea, only the remnant (a small part of them) will be saved [from perdition, condemnation, judgment]! The Twelve Baskets are symbolic of the tweleve tribes of Israel Judah Reuben Gad Aser Naphtali Manasses Simeon Levi Issachar Zebulun Joseph Benjamin Barley symbolizes the Jewish Harvest Psa 147:2 The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.

  12. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Mat 15:34 And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes. Mat 15:35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. Mat 15:36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and broke them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. Mat 15:37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full. Mat 15:38 And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children. 7 is the number of completion 4 is the number of the earth The Bible does not say what type of Bread this was but this second feeding appears to represent the Gentile harvest.

  13. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Jesus ascended into heaven “on the morrow after the Sabbath” (Sunday) to present himself to the father as a sheaf of Firstfruits of the Harvest to come of believers. So now all the harvest of his field is accepted by the father. Joh 20:16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

  14. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Because Jesus was accepted by the Father all those who are “In Christ” are also accepted by the Father. Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

  15. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Psalms 126 is a Prophetic Psalm of Jesus’s suffering and the Resurrection harvest of Sheaves Psa 126:5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Psa 126:6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

  16. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS The Final Part of Passover is the Feast day of the Sheaf of First Fruits. 1Co 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 1Co 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. The Feast of First Fruits finds it’s fulfillment in the Resurrection Of Jesus Christ

  17. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS The Children of Israel could not celebrate the Feast of First Fruits until they were come into the promised Land being led by Joshua or yesh-oo'-aw-(Hebrew for Jesus ) This is a wonderful prophetic picture One cannot enter into the fulfillment of this Feast until you follow the Greater Joshua (Jesus) through the death of the Jordan river (symbolic of baptism) and into the promised land of the New Birth & circumcision of heart.

  18. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS On First Fruits the priest would go down to the valley of matzos and gather wild barley. He would carry the wild wheat to the temple, and wave it in six directions, North, South, East, west, up and down, No parched grain or anything could be eaten until after the waving. Right after the wave offering took place, grain would begin to appear for sale all over the marketplace in Jerusalem. This is a perfect picture of what happened after Jesus arose Mat 27:52 The tombs were opened and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep in death were raised [to life]; Mat 27:53 And coming out of the tombs after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

(3 in the number of Resurrection.) Mat 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

  21. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Noah’s Ark was a Picture of Passover, Unleavened bread and First fruits

  22. Noah’s Ark was a Picture of Passover Gen 6:14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. 8 people Saved = Number of new Beginnings Triune salvation 3 levels to the Ark There are Hebrew words used for pitch here. 1) kaw-far‘- to cover to expiate or condone, to placate or cancel: - appease, make (an) atonement for sin, cleanse, disannul, forgive, be merciful, pacify, pardon, to pitch, purge (away), put off, (make) reconcile (-liation). 2) kopher- price of a life , ransom, bribe. The henna plant used for dying

  23. Noah’s Ark was a Picture of Unleavened Bread Gen 7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Unleavened Bread speaks of putting away sin. 1Co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. ……

  24. Noah’s Ark was a Picture of Unleavened Bread Unleavened Bread lasted 7 days. Seven 7 is the number of perfection 14th of Nissan wed 21 st of Nissan wed Gen 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect (without spot, undefiled )in his generations, and Noah walked with God. Gen 7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Gen 7:4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. The Hebrew word for Ark means “A box, chest or coffin

  25. Noah’s Ark was a Picture of First Fruits The Ark rested on the Mountains of Ararat on the 17th day of Nissan or the Feast of first fruits Gen 8:4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. 17th Day of Nisan standard; miracle. “We rest in the finished work of Christ” Mountains of Ararat-means the Curse Reversed

  26. Remember God made the 7th Month to now become the First Month Gen 8:4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. Nisan standard; miracle. “Easter “ 7th 1 2 3 4 5 6 1st 7 month now becomes the 1st month Exo 12:1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, Exo 12:2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

  27. Moses crosses the Red sea on the 17th day of Nissan or the Feast of First Fruits 3 days Journey 17th Day of Nisan standard; miracle. 14th Day of Nisan Exo 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, (yesh-oo'-aw-(Hebrew for Jesus)- something saved, that is, (abstractly) deliverance; hence aid, victory, prosperity: - deliverance, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health), welfare.), which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever. Exo 14:14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. Exo 14:15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

  28. Jesus rose from the Grave on the 17th of Nissan or First Fruits Lev 23:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbaththe priest shall wave it. Mat 28:1 In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher. Mat 28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. Mat 28:3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: Mat 28:4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. Mat 28:5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. Mat 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

  29. The Resurrection was established on the first day of the week (Sunday) not on the Sabbath (Saturday) It was for this reason that early Christians moved away from the keeping of the Sabbath to the keeping of the first day of the week. Joh 20:1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulcher, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulcher. Act 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. 1Co 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

  30. The Resurrection was established on the “Morrow after the Sabbath.” Lev 23:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. The Lord’s day - The first day of the week, observed as the Christian Sabbath, because on it Jesus Christ rose from the dead; therefore it was called the Lord’s day, and has taken place of the Jewish Sabbath throughout the Christian world. Rev 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, The Jewish nation was and is keeping a Christless Sabbath

  31. There are Many Messianic Congregations of Jewish believers in Jesus “yeshû‛âh” who keep the Traditional Sabbath. Paul tells us as believers we are free to esteem any day above another unto the Lord. So the one who keeps the Jewish Sabbath is not wrong. The one who keeps the First day of the week is not wrong ,but traditionally Christians worship on “the Lords day.” Rom 14:4 (AMP) Who are you to pass judgment on and censure another's household servant? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he shall stand and be upheld, for the Master (the Lord) is mighty to support him and make him stand. Rom 14:5 One man esteems one day as better than another, while another man esteems all days alike [sacred]. Let everyone be fully convinced (satisfied) in his own mind. Rom 14:6 He who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. He also who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God; while he who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God.

  32. The First Fruits belong exclusively unto the Lord It is the Fathers will that Jesus have the pre-eminence in all things He is the Firstborn of Mary Matt 1:23-25 Mat 1:25 But he had no union with her as her husband until she had borne her firstborn Son; and he called His name Jesus. He is the First begotton of the Father Heb 1:6 Heb 1:6 Moreover, when He brings the firstborn Son again into the habitable world, He says, Let all the angels of God worship Him. He is the Firstborn of the Dead Col 1:18 He also is the Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent]. He is the Firstbegotton of the Dead Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the Firstborn of the dead [first to be brought back to life] and the Prince (Ruler) of the kings of the earth. To Him Who ever loves us and has once [for all] loosed and freed us from our sins by His own blood, [Ps. 89:27.]

  33. He is the Firstborn of Many Brethren Rom 8:29 Rom 8:29 For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren. He is the Firstfruit of the Resurrected Ones 1 Corith 15:20 1Co 15:20 But the fact is that Christ (the Messiah) has been raised from the dead, and He became the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep [in death]. Jesus so Identified with us that he took all of our sins on himself and died both Physically and Spiritually on the cross. Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Heb 2:14 Since, therefore, [these His] children share in flesh and blood [in the physical nature of human beings], He [Himself] in a similar manner partook of the same [nature], that by [going through] death He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the power of death--that is, the devil--

  34. FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS Jesus is the first of the new creation man 1Co 15:23 But each in his own rank and turn: Christ (the Messiah) [is] the firstfruits, then those who are Christ's [own will be resurrected] at His coming. 2Co 5:17 Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!
