WEBSTER STRATTON STAFF TRAININGTHE INCREDIBLE YEARS The teacher training intervention focuses on strengthening teacher classroom management strategies, promoting children's pro-social behaviour and reduces classroom aggression and non-cooperation with peers and teachers. Additionally the intervention focuses on ways teachers can effectively collaborate with parents to support their school involvement and promote consistency from home to school. The program comprises the following components: Teacher Program 1 - Teacher Attention, Encouragement, Praise Teacher Program 2 - Motivating Children Through Incentives Teacher Program 3 - Preventing Behavior Problems—the Proactive Teacher Teacher Program 4 - Decreasing Students' Inappropriate Behaviors Teacher Program 5 - Building Positive Relationships With Students • What is Webster Stratton Training?

WEBSTER STRATTON STAFF TRAINING • Our whole school Staff participated in 36 hours training • We developed behaviour management strategies • Complete focus on positive behaviour • Highlighted emphasis of praise for good behaviour and friendship building rather than academic achievement • School rules and sanctions put in place with full involvement from pupils and staff

  13. WEBSTER STRATTON STAFF TRAINING The Dinosaur child training curriculum As a follow up to our Webster Stratton Training, we have been offered training in the Dinosaur child training curriculum. This training strengthens children's social and emotional competencies such as understanding and communicating feelings, using effective problem solving strategies, managing anger, practicing friendship and conversational skills, as well as appropriate classroom behaviours.
