  1. “ A young lady was waiting for her flight in the boarding room of an airport.

  2. As she would have to wait for many hours, she decided to buy a book to spend her time. She also brought a packet of cookies.

  3. She sat down on an armchair, in the VIP room of the airport, to rest and read in peace.

  4. Beside her there was a packet of cookies and a man sat down, opened his magazine and started reading.

  5. When she took the first cookie, the man took one too. She felt infuriated but didn’t say anything. She just thought: “What a nerve! If I was in a bad mood I would punch his eye so that he never dares again!”

  6. Whenever she took a cookie, the man too helped himself with another cookie That made her angry all the more, but didnt want to react

  7. When only one cookie remained, she thought: “ah... What this abused man will do now?” Then, the man, divided the last cookie in the middle, giving her one half.

  8. Ah! That was too much! She was too angry! Then, she took her book, her things and headed straight to the boarding area.

  9. When she sat down inside the plane, she looked into her purse to take her eyeglasses, and, to her surprise, her packet of cookies was there, untouched, closed!

  10. She felt ashamed!! She realized that she was the bad one... She had forgotten that her cookies were kept in her purse.

  11. The man had divided his packet of cookies with her, without feeling infuriated, nervous or mad...

  12. ...while she had been very mad, thinking that she was sharing her cookies with him. And there was no more time to explain her behaviour... or to apologize!”
