Field Partnerships “WINNING THE BATTLE” • Moses could not be replaced…only his arms uplifted could bring victory. * Partners do not replace Mission Leaders * Partners do not set field strategy or priorities * Partners come along side WMD/RD/FSCs

Partners can provide needed resources: * Intercessory Prayer * Finances * Teams * Technical Expertise; Teachers * Volunteers * Find and Recruit other people and resources WHATEVER GOD’s LEADERS NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE!

Partners: * Focus on a specific Field * Make a 3-year commitment * Become advocates and promoters for a Field’s leaders and ministry * Make personal financial investments, and recruit others * Are loyal, devoted and faithful supporters of “their” Field. Field Partnerships “HOW?” • FSC gathers a group of potential partners by personal invitation. • FSC appoints a “Managing Partner” to be Chairman of the group. • FSC meets with partners at least once a year in the USA. • FSC invites partners to visit or meet on the field. • FSC provides “Prayer Requests & Answers”, by email. • FSC provides an approved project “Needs List”. • FSC provides progress reports and success stories. • Managing Partner plans the annual meeting. • Managing Partner follows up on commitments and provides reports on resource development. • WMD provides technical assistance and policy guidance.
Field Partnerships “WHAT?” Partners can: • Provide intercessory prayer support, especially for emergencies • Raise money in addition to WEF and Mission Specials • Help fund special projects (buildings, training, campaigns, etc.) • Recruit W&W and other teams • Recruit and help fund volunteers and special skills • Make personal commitments and find others to help; leverage/ROI • Seek help from friends who are not Nazarenes • Upon invitation of the Field, “go and see”. Partners have choices for involvement, share ideas, make recommendations… MAKE A DIFFERENCE! FSC values partner input in developing field strategy.
Field Partnerships “WHAT NOT?” Partners do not: • Set strategy or tell the Field what to do. • Redirect tithes and offerings, or support for WEF. • Raise money in your local church without Pastor’s approval. • Solicit from other churches without their Pastor’s approval. • Send out mailings or do group e-mail solicitations. Partnership is a personal commitment.
Field Partnerships How do you get started? 1. Let the Field Strategy Coordinator know you are interested in being a Partner… JOIN THE TEAM! 2. Confirm attendance at the organizational meeting. 3. Make a donation to help cover costs of the meeting. 4. Pray about a committee assignment. • Begin planning a trip to the Field, perhaps with a W&W team. 6. Pray about a personal investment of resources. 7. Identify other potential partners and resources. 8. Fulfill your commitments; set an example for others.
MEXICO Field Partnership OPPORTUNITIES FOR INVOLVEMENT • Help organize a new Nazarene District in the State of Sonora. • Help the Sierra District grow from Phase 1 to Phase 2. • Help grow the North, Huasteca and Olmeca districts from Phase 2 to Phase 3, and become fully self-supporting. • Participate in the “BORDER INITIATIVE” in northern Mexico. • Build retirement houses for pastors on the Gulf District. (Merida) • Build several district centers, with district parsonage, district office, and training centers. • Help evangelize new communities with the JESUS Film, and the strategies of “TO BE LIKE HIM” and MAXIMUM MISSIONS. • Sponsor a new church plant for $30 a month.
Field Partnerships When God sinks your ship with success, call for a partner! (Luke 5:4-7) FSCs have big harvest goals for 2010. WHAT IF THEY REACH THEM? WILL IT SINK THEIR SHIP? Partners can save the catch and the ship!
