Executive Summary: Planning • Identify your audience and their expectations • Principal audience • Secondary audience • Know your purpose • Know your material • Organize your thoughts and material • Budget adequate time to write, review, and edit
Executive Summary • 1 page maximum • Use key bullet points (conclusions/recommendations) • Summarizes: • Objective, what was done • How it was done • What were the results • What were the conclusions • What are the recommendations • Can have figure or table
Presentation • 15-20 Minutes • 15 is minimum – questions after • 20 is maximum – I will ask you to sit down! • Allmust participate approximately equally • Rule-of-thumb: 2 minutes per slide • Less for title, background, etc. • More for results, conclusions, and recommendations • Keep slides simple – easy to read and follow • Slides summarize all main points of project • Due to me on thumb drive by 11:55/3:55 pm 12/8/16
