The Atlantic Soccer League Concept • To develop a league that truly serves the needs of players, teams & clubs. • Provide clubs not in US Development Academy or ECNL an alternative route that has significant games and college exposure. • Provide our players with events that maximize college exposure and continued development. • The league will provide appealing events for colleges to identify and assess all players of all playing abilities.at e • Create a scouting program to identify the top players in the every ASL event

Atlantic Soccer league • Structure • Event based; the league will be separated into two divisions, a top division and a second division. • Boys teams will be placed in their appropriate division based on 2010-2011 results. • Girls teams will be placed in divisions by the ASL Competition Committee. Club Directors will send a recommendation of where their teams should be placed, but the final decision will be made by the ASL.

Events 2011-2012 • U14-U18 Puma Boys and Girls • Teams will play in the below events, with the exception of the U14 and U18 Boys and ALL girls teams will NOT play in the SAC Memorial Day tournament. • All teams, with the exception of the U18 Puma Academy Boys, will continue to play in the VSL this Fall. • Bethesda Showcase, November 11-13 (Girls) November 18-20 (Boys) • Triangle Friendlies (Fayetteville, NC), January 21-23 (Girls) January 28-29 (Boys) • Jefferson Cup, March 10-11 (Boys) March 17-18 (Girls) • SAC Memorial Day, Memorial Day weekend (Columbia, MD) • Each event will have one game over the course of three days; Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. SAC Memorial Day is Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The U14 age group will have their three games over the course of two days; Saturday and Sunday.

  5. ASL Training • December through March • Once or twice a week – Dates, time, and location will be release early Fall. • Josh Laux - Head Coach Hampden-Sydney member of boys ASL Staff. Will provide training sessions in the winter for U15-U18 boys teams. • Head Coach since 2004, second-winningest coach in program’s history • ODAC Championship 2010, most wins in program’s history in 2009 • Randolph-Macon assistant coach 2001-2003 • State Goalkeeping Diploma, NSCAA High School Special Topics Diploma, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma

Atlantic Soccer league College exposure • The ASL is committed to player development and providing a true pathway for college exposure and beyond.  • ASL club directors and coaches will identify and scout talent within the league and assist in placing players at the highest levels.  • The event weekends have been selected because of the high exposure potential with the number of college coaches that attend.
