WHAT HAPPENS TO OUR CLUBS’ REPORTS? • AT DISTRICT LEVEL • Narratives are reviewed for District awards. • AT STATE LEVEL • Narratives are reviewed for State awards. • Annual Club Records are bound as a permanent record. • Aggregated statistics are used to promote the issues expressed in GFWC Virginia Resolutions.
WHAT HAPPENS TO OUR CLUBS’ REPORTS? • AT THE GFWC LEVEL • Narratives and award applications are reviewed for national and international awards • By knowing what individual clubs do and what kinds of activities are important to them, GFWC improves its programs in all areas. • The aggregated statistics are used to impress those in a position to influence issues expressed in GFWC Resolutions.
SOME HISTORY • WOMEN’S CLUBS HAVE BEEN CREDITED WITH ESTABLISHING 75% OF LOCAL LIBRARIES • GRASS ROOTS MOVEMENTS STARTED BY CLUBS HAVE INFLUENCED NATIONAL POLICY • Child Labor Laws • Pure Food & Drug Act • 8-hour workday

REPORTING RULES FOR DOLLARS • RULE 1: All fundraising activities and DOLLARS RAISED should be reported under Fundraising & Development. • RULE 2: DOLLARS DONATED should be reported in the CSP or Partnership areas.

HOURS AND MEMBERS • COUNT ALL HOURS • Woman-hours = # of participants x # of hours • BE CAREFUL COUNTING PARTICIPANTS • Number of participants can never exceed the number of club members
