  2. Group’s question : How does the type of wind materialand the amount of water ona wing affect how fast the helicopter hits the ground ?

  3. Hypothesis: If amount of plates_______ (inc/dec) and amount of water _______ (inc/dec) , then the velocity of the helicopter falling _______ (inc/dec).

  4. Independent and dependent variables, constants/controls Independent variable: the amount of platesand the amount of water in a wing. Dependent variable: how fast the helicopter falls into the ground. Constants/Controls: The size of the helicopter , the heightwhere we are dropping it from.

Materials Materials : • Paper plates (2) • paper helicopters (2) • Spray bottle (water) • timer • meter stick Procedure : • Gather materials • Build helicopter • Find the height (150cm) we are dropping it from. • start trial1( 0, 1 or, 2 paper plates)by spraying the helicopter3 times and place fan above 150 cm • Repeat steps for the helicopter that isn’t wet • record data
