Remote Help Instructions. Click Start . Right-click My Computer and select Properties. Click the Remote tab. Make sure Remote Assistance is checked. If it isn’t, check the checkbox. Click OK. Click Start . Click Help and Support. Click Support. Click Ask a friend to help.

Click Start. • Click Help and Support.
Type in the email address of the person who is helping you: someone@mps1.org
Optional: type a short description of the problem. • Click Continue.
Leave duration set to 1 Hour and leave the password checkbox checked. • Enter the word “password” twice. • Click Send Invitation.
If this window pops up: • Check Allow and click Yes.
If this window pops up: • Click Yes.
This window will pop up once the technician has connected to your computer.
Now the technician is controlling your PC. Do not use the mouse or keyboard unless you are asked to.
Congratulations! You have just completed your remote desktop help. Now all you have to do is exit out of this screen!
