U.S. Bone and Joint Decade 214 Sessions More than 200 sessions of Fit to a T, a public education program promoting bone health and osteoporosis prevention have been held at public libraries, churches, hospitals, clinics, government offices, and corporations throughout the United States. Program partners include American Association of Occupational Health Nurses, American Physical Therapy Association, Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals, and American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics Business and Professional Women/USA, National Association of Commissions for Women, National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses. BJD ANNUAL WORLD NETWORK CONFERENCE November 30-December 1, 2008, PUNE, INDIA Experts in Arthritis Sunday, October 26, 2008, the second educational forum for patients and families, with world-renowned health care professionals and researchers, took place in San Francisco. This event has been arranged by the USBJD, American College of Rheumatology, Arthritis Foundation, and American Academy of Pediatrics. Young Investigators Initiative - $16,500,000 More than 100 young investigators entered this joint program of the USBJD and BJD Canada and more than 30 of them, since beginning the program, have obtained a total of $16.5 million in approved research grants. Burden of Musculoskeletal Diseases in the United States Released in 2008, as a joint program by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American College of Rheumatology, American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, Arthritis Foundation, Orthopaedic Research Society, and Scoliosis Research Society.
