Pt.1 The Coastline/Jungle • This part of the book is important because this is were everything starts going uphill and getting more mysterious and weird.. • This is were Rainsford see’s the blood spot of the dead “animal” and he’s trying to figure out what it is. The setting is very descriptive, it says that the jungle was very dense and there was a lot of underbrush.

Pt. 2 The castle • The castle is important because that’s were General Zaroff and Ivan are introduced • When Rainsford and General Zaroff are in the castle they talk about Zaroff’s game and what he “hunts”. When Rainsford found out what he hunted he was very shocked, disappointed and put in an odd position because he was going to be hunted the next day…
