Sites & Hierarchy (1) • Site is a “foundation” for device and user management • Each site is identified by a unique 3 character code • Central Administration Site (CAS) is for reporting and management only • Hierarchy – Multiple sites that communicate with each other
Sites & Hierarchy (2) • CAS • Optional • Required when need for multiple primary sites • Used for reporting and management • Does not process client data & does not manage client • Support up to 400,000 clients
Sites & Hierarchy (3) • Primary Site • Required • Can be installed as Stand-Alone or child of a CAS • Used to manage clients • Replicate data to CAS (if part of a hierarchy) • Support up to 100,000 clients
Sites & Hierarchy (4) • Secondary Site • Optional • Must be a child of a Primary Site • Used to control network bandwidth • Replicate client data to primary site • Do not support client assignment • Act as a proxy for primary site
